Graceful Intimacy: A Sacred Journey of Sexual Restoration

Sexual problems in marriage are far more common than many realize, yet often go unspoken in Christian communities. Studies show that a significant number of married couples report experiencing some form of sexual dysfunction at some point in their relationship, including issues with desire or arousal disorders. Furthermore, a high number of marriages will experience a form of betrayal, including infidelity, pornography addiction, or emotional affairs, which can severely damage trust and intimacy.

You and your spouse are invited to embark on this transformative journey. We will focus on healing the sexual relationship and intimacy between married couples in the loving presence of God amidst the tranquil and beautiful Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. Rooted in the power of God’s grace, this retreat offers a safe and supportive environment where couples can explore and restore their sexual connection. Whether the challenges stem from past traumas, dysfunctions, betrayal, or a growing distance, this retreat is designed to nurture deep healing, communication, and renewal.

From the moment you arrive, everything about The Graceful Intimacy Healing Retreat is designed to be healing and nurturing with the awareness of God’s graceful presence. You will be greeted with warmth and compassion by Dr. Dave Janvier and Debby Wade. Both licensed therapists and certified sex therapists, Dave and Debby have been training and co-facilitating together since 2005. We are committed to helping you navigate the challenges you face in your sexual intimacy within the context of your faith.

The retreat itinerary is carefully crafted to provide a balance of structured therapeutic sessions with opportunities for rejuvenation. Couples will participate in group sessions led by Dr. Dave and Debby. These sessions will provide education as well as experiential practices in a supportive space for couples to explore their feelings; gain understanding of their sexual narratives; improve communication patterns and improve relationship dynamics in a non-judgmental environment. We believe in the therapeutic power of group dynamics.

Our hope is that couples will leave the retreat feeling renewed in their faith; restored in their marital intimacy; equipped with spiritual and therapeutic tools that will cultivate a thriving sexual intimacy centered on Christ’s love.

This retreat is ideal for couples who feel disconnected, are struggling with sexual issues, or want to deepen the intimacy in their marriage. It’s a space for transparency, healing, and a fresh start. Together, you will discover the beauty of God’s design for marriage, reclaiming intimacy and joy in your relationship. It is NOT for couples in crisis or for those seeking a “last ditch effort” to salvage a marriage.
